BOTOX

A neurotoxin used to relax the muscle in order to decrease the appearance of fine lines. Most patient’s results will last 3-4 months.

DYSPORT

Similar to Botox this neurotoxin is also used to relax the muscle and decrease the appearance of fine lines.

Results typically last 3-4 months.

SCULPTRA

This injectable is administered to areas that have lost volume over time.

This injection will help to rebuild collagen and add volume to areas such as temples, nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

Neurotoxins:

Botulinum toxins are neurotoxins that affect nerves and cause muscle weakening.

These types of injections can be used  for cosmetic or medical reasons.

 

SKYN RX offers Botox and Dysport.

Out of all the neurotoxins, these two have been proven to have the most consistent results.

 

What is the difference between Botox and Dysport? 

The answer usually comes down to customer preference.

Both neurotoxins last typically the same amount of time. It usually takes 14 days to see the full results of Botox or Dysport, however, most clients start seeing results after 3 days with Dysport and 7 days with Botox.  *Results may vary depending on the client.

 

How many units will I need?

Only a range of units can be given for one area. To have an exact number of units, you will need to be seen by an injector for the number of units needed may vary from person to person.

 

Will there be bruising after the injection?

Bruising or swelling after this procedure can be expected.

 

Do you need a follow-up appointment?

SKYN RX recommends a 2-week follow-up appointment to make sure there is little to no movement in area that received treatment.If it is your first time receiving treatment, sometimes additional units may be needed and would be determined at this time.

Can Filler Be

Dissolved?

Filler dissolve can be injected to dissolve filler for patients that come to our office with filler they are unsatisfied with.

In most cases we do recommend the patient have the filler dissolved with the injector who originally injected the filler.
